A free, 12-week extreme fitness makeover will be offered by the Borgess Health & Fitness Center to someone who has the life-changing need, commitment and enthusiasm for exercise and proper nutrition. Extreme fitness makeover application forms are available at fitness.borgess.com. Forms must be submitted to the Borgess Health & Fitness Center by September 30.
“Weight loss may be one factor when we select the winning candidate but most importantly we want to help someone who has the initiative to make the transforming effort to a healthier lifestyle through exercise and nutrition training,” said Jennifer Query, Manager of the Borgess Athletic Performance Program.
“Many people don’t exercise because it’s difficult, uncomfortable, boring or even painful,” said Query who is the former strength and conditioning coach for Western Michigan University’s women’s basketball and men’s ice hockey teams. “We want to teach the winning candidate many movement patterns that their body and their brain respond to so they can learn personally enjoyable exercise forms that pay off with health improvements.”
The 12-week extreme fitness makeover begins at the Borgess Health & Fitness Center on Wednesday, October 12.
